Another month has come and gone. That means one thing – it’s about the time for a banned list update.

The first Tuesday Night Overextended event was a resounding success. 62 players showed up to play, making this one of the best attended (if not the best attended) Magic Online player run event ever!

Ever since this site premiered a week ago, I have been deluged with questions.

If we want Overextended to become a tournament format, then we have to show it can stand on its own and pull a crowd.

Looking at a brand new format can be a little daunting. If you’re not much of a deckbuilder, or just don’t have the time to make something new, here are ten decks that have proven themselves in my Overextended testing.

  The most successful formats have two distinct attributes.

The Overextended banned list radically defines this format apart from others, and the decision about which cards would be banned was not made lightly.

The great debate of Overextended is which set to start the format at – and for good reason.
